By this point in the winter, almost everyone is suffering from dry, itchy skin – children and adults alike. But this season, we’ve completely avoided the problem but using CeraVe Moisturizing Cream. It was first recommended by my daughters’ pediatrician back in November when Houston hit a cold patch and my older daughter’s cheeks were getting chapped. She told us that this specific cream was one of the best because of the ceramides and hyaluronic acid, and that it was very gentle and unlikely to cause any irritation (which has been a problem for us in the past). And although I have been loyal to Aveeno since it was recommended to my mother when my sister and I were children in Canada (I can only imagine the lengths my mum went to in order to avoid our having chapped skin in that climate), I trust this particular pediatrician implicitly, and I gave the CeraVe a try.
I am converted. The CeraVe moisturizer comes in a big tub, is almost odourless, and quickly absorbs. Not only has it worked exceptionally well for my daughter, I also use it daily. In fact, after I’m done my skincare routine at night, I slather it on my face as I get in bed. It soaks in by the time I’m actually ready to turn the lights out, and I always wake up with my skin feeling great. On top of all these positives, it is incredibly reasonably priced and a little goes a long way. I highly recommend for those of you living in a colder climate!
