By March, I am generally over my winter workwear (read: black trousers, white button-downs, turtleneck sweaters, etc.), and this year is no exception. So today, instead of passing by one of my favourite warm-weather work dresses, I added a white oxford underneath which transformed my outfit into a seasonally-appropriate look. I don’t know why I hadn’t done this recently, as I put white oxfords under my daughters’ smocked dresses all the time to keep them warm. It was such a simple (and certainly not earth-shattering by any stretch of the imagination) change, but one that expanded the possibilities of my closet.
